COVID-19 Swabbing Guide For Care Homes

We have created a step-by-step guide with all the necessary information to safely undertake Covid-19 testing for care home residents.

The guide is complemented by a Public Health England video that explains how to safely don (put on) and (doff) Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which you can watch below.

The process outlined in the guide includes details for care homes working directly with the PCW Covid-19 Sampling Coordination Team.

However, it can be adapted for other intermediary teams and care homes.

This is also a useful resource not only for care home staff, but also for any healthcare employees required to perform Covid-19 testing.

Please feel free to use and share.
